Concept of God in Islam (الّلہ) is not same as Concept God in Hinduism (اوپر والا)

A few years back I was guest at lunch with one of my friend’s father who happens to be from Hindu faith. During our conversation he shared that we are the children of same God however divided in different religions to know each other. I was just curious of the fact that what made him say this, later during my research studies and debates with scholars of faith I learnt that in this region common Hindus are taught the lesson to attain common grounds with native Muslims by saying these lines.

I also came across certain climaxes in life when followers of the faith quoted incidents like “اوپر والا سب دیکھ رہا ہے” . And in media especially in Indian movies the word “the one who lives up there – اوپر والا” is used frequently.

Further to add on this, as one school of Hinduism practices their faith as henotheistic religion as well so, followers of faith say that they also believe in same God as Muslims do. The one top God for them is as same as the God of Islam.

The final motivation to write this is that when they make a common Muslim believe that the God is similar than they also say that “Allah will not forgive not worshiping Him and rest all can be forgiven by Him. So if we pray to common God then there is no need of converting as Muslim.”

This segment answers as “Why the God of Islam is different from God of present day Hinduism.” Why they need to understand that the concept of top God in both faiths is way different & Allah will not forgive them if they continue to worship their concept of God. They are in illusion once again by their priests.

Our aim is to make them understand what they are believed to be true today & what actually the directives were. If they are able to understand this & process their wisdom to process certain answers to logical questions. They may find the right path and help themselves to find the true path.

Claim & faith title we hold does not represent our ideological direction
It is the core definition that defines the concept of God
In Actual God of both religions are same, however

the present day definition of God in Hinduism is exactly opposite
what their holy scriptures had taught them.

God’s (اللہ) Concept of Islam God’s (اوپر والا) Concept of present day Hinduism
God of Islam is the top most ultimate figure without a secondGod of present day Hinduism is top most figure with hierarchal deity system in form for level 01 tri-murti and then descendants in form of families / lesser gods
God of Islam is singular entity, omnipotent, without a second, no parents, no off-springGod of present day Hinduism has spouses, children and have many shapes
God of Islam has no comparison, no shape, no form, no timelineGod of present day Hinduism has defined shapes from this world (e.g. human figures both males & females, hybrid figures & animal figures)
God of Islam never descended to earth Himself, rather He sent His messengers to educate and eradicate falsehood from mankind.God of present day Hinduism descended to earth multiple times in different timelines in many forms. This process is called incarnation / manifestation.
There is a universal concept of God in Islam, no other view can be found anywhere in any cultural, geographical or ethnic groupThe concept varies in different cultures, geographical locations and ethnic groups all over the world. Gods of one area may differ from gods of other areas
As God is one & only so such concept is not found in Islam. The name of God in Islam as to differ it from any other deity is Allah (اللہ)When God has came down & physical shapes were worshiped by masses then the concept arose of (اوپر والا) mean the one resides up there in skies because they had many forms, shapes, idols and concepts present in their own societies, cultures and temples. These they regarded as earthly gods (زمین والے). There are many names for top God as well.
Islam follows hardliner Monotheistic School when it comes to concept of God.God of present day Hinduism follows two major streams
1. Polytheistic School: More than one Bhagwan, Tri-Murti are considered as top trio of Bhagwans controlling everything around.
2. Henotheistic School: One Eshwar as top God (اوپر والا) with his incarnated / manifested forms of earthly gods (زمین والے) as deities & deity families of hundreds of gods organized under family trees of tri-murti who are worshiped & are considered as means to reach top God.

A glimpse for original concept of God in their faith with cross reference from Quran

This is of the fact that actual God of Sanatun Dharam which is present in Vedas is the same as God of Islam. Why? Let’s review the following:

Vedas & Other Books of ShrutisSimilaritiesGlorious Quran
Rig Veda (8.1.1)
O friends, do not worship any other but One, be firm, never remiss, worship only Indra, sole lord absolute, omnipotent and infinitely generous, and when you have realized the bliss of the lord’s presence, sing songs of divine adoration spontaneously, profusely again and again.
The One & Only God.
God is Absolute & Omnipotent.
Sure-e-Ikhlas (Chapter # 112)
Say He is God, the One.
God the Absolute.
He begets not, nor He begotten.
And there is nothing comparable to Him.
Chandogya Upanishad (6.2.1)
Before this world was manifest there was only non-existence, one without a second. Out of that non-existence, existence emerged.
Originator of heavens & earth is Allah.

Without a second means He was alone when He created universe.

Alone means there was absolutely nothing from which universe was created.

Scientifically, this concept is known as “Creation ex-Nahilo”
Sura-e-Baqarah (verse # 117)
Wonderful Originator of the heavens and the earth, and when He decrees an affair, He only says to it, Be, so there it is

The original message of Allah is same from Adam (PBUH) till Muhammad (PBUH). As Muslims, we are bound to believe all revelations which are in accordance of Quran and Sahi (authentic in chain of narration & subject health) Hadees. So, by above ancient texts it is evident that concept of God was the monotheistic God of faith which has corrupted over ages and now transformed as polytheistic or henotheistic God as compared to Monotheistic God of Islam.
